News of Charlene's death came from her daughter, Libbe. She died on April 7, 2020 in the ICU at Tacoma General Hospital a day after her admission due to extreme fatigue and racing heartbeat.. Her COVID-19 test was negative. It was an unexpected and sad oss for all of us who knew her as classmate and friend.

Charlene was a wonderful classmate and friend. She always wore that beautiful smile and great personality. Even with my terrible memory I can remember enough to know that she was a great and loyal friend to so many and we will all have fond memories of being with her.
I wish the best to her family and friends who had the wonderful opportunity to continue to be with her long after her Wapato school days, and hope they can continue to remember the wonderful times they were so lucky to have with her! Thanks Charlene.
